SPiN first satellite, SPIN–1, is healthy and in orbit thanks to a great launch provided by SpaceX's Falcon 9 rideshare mission.
The SPIN-1 mission aims to demonstrate in-orbit reconfiguration and the benefits of modular satellite assembly with off-the-shelf components through MA61C, SPiN’s universal adapter.
The satellite is as large as 1U and it will be operational, at an altitude between 300-500 Km, for about 2 months.
The mission is carried out in partnership with Telespazio Germany, Hyperion Technologies B.V., Crystalspace OU, NewSpace Systems and the Technical University of Munich, who provided essential hardware and software to the mission.
